Miss Cummings is a senior at Averill Park Central High School and Private Geerholt, prior to entering the service, was in the General Electric Co. He is now stationed at Camp Rucker, Ala. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Pease of Stephentown announce the engagement of their daughter, Mildred Anne, to Lloyd W. Sandstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh R. Sandstrom of Lebanon Springs.
Miss Pease, a graduate of New Lebanon Central School and Bishop Memorial Training School for Nurses, is on the staff of the Pittsfield General Hospital. Mr. Sandstrom is also a graduate of New Lebanon Central School and served in the Navy 14 months. He is employed in the contracting business with his father.

Miss Ella M. Sweener, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson L. Sweener of Stephentown Center, was married to Howard George Amidon, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Amidon of Cherry Plain, November 18, at Lebanon Springs with Rev. Oscar Arnold officiating.
The bride wore a navy blue two-piece dress with sweetheart neck line, long pointed sleeves, a gray coat and a hat to match. She wore a corsage of white roses.
Miss Emma Yerson, the maid of honor, wore a black dress with red accessories, a black coat and hat and a corsage of red roses.
The bride's mother wore a gray silk print dress and a corsage of red roses, while the bridegroom's mother wore brown crepe with a corsage of white roses.
the reception followed at the home of the bride's parents. After a wedding trip the couple will make their home with the bridegroom's parents.

(This is my Aunt Ella, my mother's sister. Uncle Howard passed away about 1996, having been married for 48 years. They lived their entire married lives in the same house that Uncle Howard was born in, and that they moved into following their wedding trip. Aunt Ella sold the house a couple of years after Uncle Howard's death, and now lives in Bennington, VT., where she is a nanny to three small children. She has two grown sons and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.)
Mr. and Mrs. John D. Hall of East Nassau today announced the engagement of their foster daughter Theresa Irene Corellis to Lawrence U. Sweener, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses Sweener of Stephentown.
Miss Corellis will be a member of next week's graduating class at New Lebanon Central School and plans to attend a comptometer school in Albany.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Wheeler of Stephentown, announce the engagement of their, Doris Mae Wheeler to Arthur F. Stone, son of Mrs. J. R. Stone of Great Neck, NY. Miss Wheeler is an alumna of New Lebanon Central School. She was graduated from the University of Iowa School of Nursing, with a B.S. degree in 1946. she is at present taking courses toward her master's degree at Syracuse University.
Mr. Stone is a senior in the College of Engineering at Syracuse University. He spent three years in the Army Medical Corps during World War II.
The wedding will be held October 14, at the home of the bride-elect in Stephentown. - August 27, 1950
Mrs. Douglas C. Williams of this town announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Dorothy Edna Barnes to Wyatt J. Haley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Haley of West Stephentown.
Miss Barnes, a 1947 graduate of New Lebanon Central School, is attending the Austin School of Beauty Culture, Albany, from which she will graduate in April. Mr. Haley is a graduate of Averill Park High School and the Agricultural Institute, Cobleskill. He is a former employee of the New York Power & Light Corporation and was employed for a time at the Thomas Garage, Lebanon Springs. DODDS OBSERVE 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. William H. Dodd of New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, N.Y. observed their 50th wedding anniversary Monday. Their three children, William Dodd, Mrs. Sarah Murphy, and Miss Rena Dodd, entertained in their homor woth a family party at the Willow Tea Room in Troy, N.Y.
The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dodd of Stephentown, Dr. and Mrs. I. Spencer Dodd of Pittsfield, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. John Dodd of Bridgeport, Conn., and Mrs. Mary Dodd Craig of Brookline, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Dodd formerly lived in Stephentown. He was the pastor of the Stephentown Presbyterian Church where his father, the late Rev. Samuel Dodd had previously preached.
Since leaving town, Mr. Dodd has returned to the pulpit as guest speaker on many occasions. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dodd have been frequent visitors here where they have many friends. - September 17, 1947

Best man was Walter Peterson of Stephentown, brother of the groom.
After the reception, the couple left on a wedding trip. They will live in Stephentown when they return August 2.
The bride, a telephone operator, graduated in 1951 from New Lebanon Central School.

The cremony was performed by Rev. Francis J. Schantzlein, pastor.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, had as her maid of honor Miss Jeannette Esposito, a cousin and as bridesmaids, Mrs. Patrick Abotelli and Miss Minnie Esposito, cousins. Miss Dorothy Sutherland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Sutherland of Stephentown, was married at 2 this afternoon to Reginald B. Harrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Harrison of 61 South Onota Street, Pittsfield, Mass. Rev. Kenneth H. Wait performed the ceremony at the Presbyterian Church, which was decorated with gladioli and palms. Mrs. Ruth Lawless played the organ and Nicolas Soldato sang.
When the couple return September 10 from a trip to Niagra Falls, Detroit, Chicago and Canada, they will make their home at 61 South Onota Street, Pittsfield.
